The BARCELONA FORUM 2004 is an immense, first-of-a-kind undertaking that will last 141 days and nights from the 9th of May, 2004 until the 26th of September, 2004. Likened to a cultural Olympics, it's uniquely ambitious in it's aim to bring tens of thousands of people together under one roof that will create a universal cultural village by exploring art, activism, personal enhancement through workshops, consciousness raising through exhibits and dozens and dozens of world class performances in it's theatres and on its streets.

There will be dialogues with world leaders in politics, and the issues most affecting world citizens today: the sustainable environment, cultural diversity, and the conditions for world peace.

The FORUM is divided roughly into three categories of activities:

1. DIALOGUES (enounters with other world citizens, discussions, workshops, readings, discussion with world leaders).

2. PERFORMANCE (concerts, street performances, plays, dance, puppets and other modes).

3. THE VILLAGE (eco-markets, exhibits, and art instalations that symbolically represent the emerging global consciousness of the 2nd millenium).
