With international
performers, famous and little known, descending on Barcelona's
art venues and streets - the city promises a cultural buzz
unlike anywhere else for the entire 5 months of FORUM activity.
This page will be continually updated as more specific information
on performances, times, and venues comes in.
Music
Around 450 concerts will fill the sky and the city's cultural
spaces with music for 141 days. Solo artists and bands will
use their melodies as a language of communication.
Musical Theater
At the Forum, there will be performances for all tastes. Those
who enjoy musicals will have a thrilling experience at Bagdad
Café and Brasil Brasileiro.
Circus
For one month, Les Arts Sauts, one of the best-known contemporary
circus companies, will present their latest work in a space
with capacity for 850 people.
Theater
Public and private venues around the city will welcome big
names in theater from around the world. Theater will play
a very important role in Forum Barcelona 2004.
Events in
the City
The Forum will occupy public spaces and invite residents and
visitors to participate in the event. All kinds of initiatives
will make up a complete and interactive program.
Opera
For those who enjoy emotional experiences, opera will also
have its place in the City Forum program with major classic
and contemporary shows.
Dance
National and international dancers and choreographers will
express their world view with movements. All of them will
connect and interact with their audiences.
Permanent
Performances
Visitors will be able to see these shows from the start of
the Forum until the very end. Comediants, Sèmola Teatre
and Sarruga are just a few of the participating companies.
Special events
These events will reflect the concept of diversity that is
inherent to Forum Barcelona 2004 and which will manifest itself
on many occasions.
Cabaret
Those who are looking for a more daring type of show that
explains things in a different way shouldn't miss the Forum's
cabaret program.
Street performances
Forum Barcelona 2004 will take over public spaces, invite
onlookers to participate and transform daily life in the city,
which will act as a sounding board for the many debates.
