Set around the site from the former Borne Farmer's Market,
an ornate metal dome constructed around the time of the Eiffel Tower,
the building overlooks the market has has views from the balcony
of the peaks of Tibidabo and the Cathedral of Barcelona.
The owner of the house is an artisan pastry chef whose specialty
includes homemade Catalan cakes, marmalades, and flavored olives.
She offers these homemade treats regularly along with artisan cheeses
and breads to guests.
The hostess and her grown daughters have worked in crafts and art
field: design, jewelry, pastry chef - and the space has a spacious,
light, and peaceful feel. A tranquil and inexpensive retreat in
the heart of the Old Quarter. There is a small, friendly cat named
