Great apartment - excellent location, very roomy, comfortable beds, clean and friendly. Security doors were nice and double panes kept the street noise out. The apartment is modern, clean and very well situated, only a stone's throw from Las Ramblas. Another throw puts you at the Liceu metro station which makes it very easy (and cheap) to get around town. The kitchen is very well equipped, but I would suggest a plastic spatula for the non-stick pans. We had a great time staying here, the only problem was that we didn't stay long enough. I guess we will have to come back, and when we do, we hope to stay here again.

Thanks for the great list of restaurants. Whenever we went out on our own, we found it very difficult to find nice ones in the area. Your list took us to some truly great places. Lupino's is a friendly, happening place. Wonderful apartment in a great location. Lovely sitting on the balcony, sipping wine, and watching the people go by. We went to the market everyday for breakfast food. Also a good little restaurant, Quo Vadis - good for dinner. Apartment was very convenient to all the sites.

We are sad that our stay in Barcelona has come to an end - the 3 days went by so fast! But our stay will be one to remember. This appartment really helped us enjoy Barcelona. It is so well situated in the center of town. Although in is the middle of town, this was a quiet location (Eric was right!) We enjoyed having a roomy, clean and especially very contemporary appartment. The information given was very helpful for planning our days. We recommend this place very highly. Thank you - this is a lovely apartment, and we love the city of Barcelona. The metro/train is a great (and relatively cheap) way to get around (or the bus!) We went up to Tibidabo, the monastery and Pedralbes and over to Montjuïc, and the beach down at the Ciutadella-Vila Olimpica. It's great being so central. Many great places for tapas too! A tasty and very cheap place in on C. de la Merce, near the Harbour - Le 3 VENEZIE. Beware of buying sprite from the cafés on the La Ramblas though - e7.50 each! We really enjoyed the Sagrada Familia - we will hope to be back in Barcelona when (if!?) it's finished! If only we could be here another week instead of work, there are so many things we would like to do! Muchas gracias!

One day after last tenants leave and the apt is still clean, spacious and centrally located you will need v. deep pockets indeed for local market - many things to eat and we must have neon sign on our head. If my wife gets her new contract today - then we will be back much more and of course will stay here - ideal. Barcelona is of course a model that many other cities envy. I love it.

This is an excellent apartment far exceeding our expectations. Greatly decorated, clean, comfortable, and fully equipped! And just around the corner from Ramblas, what else can we ask for? We also followed your recommendations and had a great dinner at the Plaza Real. We will certainly keep your number for when we come back and give it to our best friends.

Enjoyed the apartment very much. Very well equipped and clean. We loved being in the center of everything and close to the wonderful market. A small addition that would be helpful is an ice cube tray for the freezer. For future renters - the best way to get a feel for the city is to take an open topped tour bus from the Plaza de Catalunya (14e a day or 18 for 2 days). You can get on and off whenever you like. Great place to stay, very roomy, comfortable, and a great location. Despite the rain we had a wonderful time in Barcelona except that the two days is too little to enjoy what the city has to offer. It was only by chance that we came across this apartment. We were on a Mediterranean cruise and I accidentally booked our flight home 6 hours before we arrived in port. We went to the airport, rebooked our flight and decided to go the the Picasso museum. We went to a little cafe and met Eric. He asked us to watch his laptop while he went to the WC. When he returned, we were talking about our situation. He suggested this apartment. We were excited he did! It was the last night of our honeymoon. La Rambla and the market were a pleasant surprise. We sat on the terrace and enjoyed a slow glass of wine. We wished we had more time to explore off the beaten path. If we ever come back, we would love to stay with you again.

It was the first time we entered an appartment saying, wish it was ours! The first days of 2003 we spent in Barcelona and we came to the conclusion next time we will come to Casa Virreina. After spending a day in Barcelona, coming to our casa felt like coming home. Especially with four children, 0 , 2, 12, and 15 years, one needs a break now and then. A drink and a bath and the end of the afternoon - before diving back in to Barcelona; it does wonders. For brand clothes at "normal prices" visit the Factory Store - Paseo de Gracia. For a a wonderful meal in a fantastic Spanish atmosphere go for the Gre-Grill ion the same street, Passeig de Gracia. You can eat tapas and a nice meal and get a wonderful service. Last but not least, if you need anything. Ask Luis - a **** star hotel doesn't deliver you the service he gives you. Only that fact is enough to book this casa again. For all who come after us, we hope you have as pleasant stay as we did. Eric, thanks for offering us this appartment, we will spread the word amongst our best friends.

This apartment made my trip to Barcelona jump higher. It's true! It entertained us with it's wonderful painting and sculptures and the fluffy beds let me sleep great. It was so nice of you to bring us the hairdryer and we will leave it here for the next lucky family to stay here. This place was wonderful.
